Rangers are allegedly moving for Krupa striker Elvir Koljic.

Rangers remain in the market for another striker – and whilst speculation surrounds a move for Hearts hitman Kyle Lafferty, it seems that the Gers have other options in mind.
Steven Gerrard has brought in one striker this summer as Umar Sadiq arrived on a season-long loan move from Roma, with the Nigerian offering support to Alfredo Morelos in attack.
Another option is needed though, given that both Morelos and Sadiq are somewhat inconsistent at this stage in their careers, and Lafferty has been targeted ahead of the transfer deadline at the end of the month.
Now though, Rangers could be casting their net a little further afield, as Krupa president Drasko Ilic has told BIH in Bosnia that the Gers have made an offer for striker Elvir Koljic – but face competition from three clubs.
Panathinaikos of Greece, second tier French side Red Star and Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren have all allegedly made offers for Koljic, along with Rangers, but Ilic isn’t rushing into a sale for his top striker, even if the offers are greater than that made by Lech Poznan.
“A few days ago we received an offer on the table from Panathinaikos, Red Star of the French second tier, Waasland-Beveren, and yesterday Glasgow Rangers, but we are not hurrying anywhere. We are waiting for the right price, although these offers are much higher than the one we had last year from Lech Poznan. With these two last goals against Radnik, the price has surely jumped, and we will be patient and I’m sure that we will soon get the right deal,” said Ilic.

Koljic, 23, had a low-key opening start to his career with Slovenian side Triglav and then Krupa of Bosnia, before a torrid record of two goals in 35 games for Borac Banja Luka saw him return to Krupa in 2016.
Since making that move, Koljic has been on fire; he has five goals in just three games, and that takes his record for the Bosnian club to an impressive 40 goals in just 59 games, helping him earn his first two Bosnia caps this year.
The Spain-born hitman had a loan spell with Lech Poznan of Poland earlier this year which wasn’t made permanent, and Rangers could now swoop in to lure the physical 6ft 1in striker to Ibrox.
