HITC Sport understands Leicester have agreed a deal for Croatian defender Filip Benkovic.

Croatian defender Filip Benkovic is set to undergo a medical at Leicester after they agreed a fee of £13million for the Dinamo Zagreb star, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Benkovic is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe after impressing for Dinamo Zagreb for the last few years.
The 21-year-old is on the fringes of the Croatian national team after being a regular for his country’s Under-21s.
A number of Europe’s top clubs including Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have been credited with an interest in the central defender in the past, but it appears Leicester have stolen a march on their rivals by setting up a deal for Benkovic.

Leicester boss Claude Puel is in the market for defensive reinforcements after seeing Aleksandar Dragovic return to Bayer Leverkusen following his loan spell and Robert Huth leave upon his contract expiring.
Benkovic is seen as one for the future at Leicester and they see him as someone with all the attributes to be a success in the Premier League.
Leicester have made five signings so far this summer Jonny Evans, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Danny Ward and Rachid Ghezzal and now Benkovic is on the verge of becoming the sixth new arrival.
