Sanabria, 22, spent four years in the Barcelona ranks before heading to Roma in 2013, but he made just two appearances before scoring 11 goals in 31 games on loan at Sporting Gijon.
The Paraguayan international joined Real Betis in the summer of 2016, and whilst he hit just five goals in his first season, his record of eight goals in 17 La Liga games last season showed his goalscoring ability.
Injuries did haunt Sanabria though, and with Betis now focusing on Loren Moron and Sergio Leon in their attack, Sanabria could be on the move before the transfer window slams shut this month.
Now, ABC de Sevilla report that West Ham are pursuing a €25million (£22million) move for Sanabria, but another mystery Premier League club are also keen to sign him before Thursday night.
West Ham are attempting to rush through a late move for another striker, with Arsenal's Lucas Perez and Porto's Moussa Marega touted, but Sanabria appears to be another option.
With another team lurking, West Ham may have to focus their efforts on Sanabria if they want to land him, though he appears to be a backup target for Manuel Pellegrini right now.
