Everton are reportedly looking to lure Delgado to Goodison Park.
Everton are reportedly stepping up their interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Pedro Delgado this summer in a bid to bring the youngster to Goodison Park - but some Toffees fans are unsure over the signing.
The Daily Mirror reported that Everton were close to agreeing a move for the 21-year-old midfielder, with manager Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands sanctioning a move to land the young star.
Delgado came through the ranks at Sporting after joining the club from Portimonense, before moving to Italian giants Inter Milan in 2013. He spent three years in Italy, before Sporting re-signed the midfielder on a free.
Renowned for his technical abilities and passing in the middle of the park, Delgado has been capped at every youth level for Portugal right up until the Under-21 stage. Now 21 years of age, Delgado requires first-team football.
Everton are reportedly keen on landing the ball-playing midfielder and it is believed that Delgado, who is yet to make a senior appearance in professional football, is keen on a move to Goodison Park.
Some Everton fans are unsure over a move for Delgado, though, with some voicing their concerns over whether Delgado is good enough to break into the Toffees first team.
