Sheffield United are the latest club linked with the Queens Park Rangers player, after Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.

Sheffield United ‘have made a move’ for Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Luke Freeman, according to the Daily Mirror (July 29, liveblog entry 21:35).
The newspaper also credited Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion with interest over the weekend, although United’s appears to be more developed.
The Blades are looking to strengthen in Freeman’s position after selling David Brooks to Bournemouth earlier in the window.
And QPR may cash in on the 26-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror – which claimed in a separate report that he is valued at £3 million.

Given their Brooks’ windfall, Sheffield United should have little trouble funding Freeman’s transfer, although it is possible that Middlesbrough and West Brom could trump them on wages.
Middlesbrough may also have a Freeman-shaped vacancy to fill, having seen Jack Harrison and Lewis Baker return to their parent clubs since the end of last season – while they could yet lose Adama Traore to West Brom’s local rivals, Wolves, according to reports.

Can Sheffield United beat Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion to the QPR man’s signing?
