Newcastle United should consider a move for the Polish hitman.

Rafael Benitez Manager

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has a lot of issues to address at St James' Park tis summer, and one of his most pressing concerns will be the future of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian ha been heavily linked with a move to Fulham, although a switch to west London has so far failed to materialise for the striker.

Mitrovic is obviously not fancied by Benitez, though, so it would be no surprise to see him leave Newcastle before the end of the transfer window.

If the 23-year-old does eventually leave Tyneside, Rafa will obviously have to bring in a replacement, in spite of their recent capture of Yoshinori Muto.

With this in mind, a fantastic option for them could be Anderlecht hitman Lukasz Teodorczyk.

The 27-year-old is a target man type striker, and he would be the ideal replacement for Mitrovic at Newcastle.

Standing at 6ft 1in tall, and powerfully built, Teodorczyk is strong in the air, but he has plenty more about his game than just aerial prowess.

He is also a lethal finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity. with 99 goals to his name in 225 career appearances.

Teodorczyk's all-round game seems to be ideally suited to the robust nature of the Premier League, and he would surely be a real hit amongst the Toon Army.

The 19-capped Poland international could play through the middle on his own, or form part of a two-pronged attack with Muto.

Teodorczyk is available for around £10 million this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo, and in today's day and age, that would represent excellent value for Newcastle.
