According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Aston Villa’s new owners have granted Steve Bruce’s first wish and allowed him to sign a new goalkeeper.

Villa are yet to make a signing this summer, but are set to bring in their first new face in the form of Andre Moreira.

The 22-year-old stopper is set to arrive on a season long loan from Atletico Madrid.

Bruce has wanted to sign a new goalkeeper, following the departure of Sam Johnstone.

Villa have had Johnstone on loan for the past two seasons from Manchester United, but were in no financial position to buy him permanently.
