France lost their opening game with Diouf in goal, but the impressive stopper has since kept two clean sheets with his side’s attackers going all out. It has seen them beat Turkey 5-0, before doing the same to England.
However, France and Diouf lost in the semi-finals of the competition, going down 2-0 to Italy. The final between Italy and Portugal takes place on Saturday, but Spurs scouts will surely have been impressed by Diouf.
However, Spurs may be about to miss out on the youngster, with Stuttgart tabling a six-figure offer that could indeed be accepted. Troyes will want to cash in, with less than 12 months remaining on Diouf’s contract.
Spurs already boast three first-team goalkeepers in Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm and Paulo Gazzaniga, but Diouf could be seen as compatriot Lloris’s long-term replacement and a move to north London could certainly aid his development.
