Reo Griffiths will not be travelling to USA for Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season tour.

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter aren’t happy about Reo Griffiths’s omission from their USA tour squad.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino included a whole host of young stars, including Oliver Skipp, George Marsh, Alfie Whiteman and Kaziah Sterling.
However, there was no room for Griffiths, who scored 32 goals in 27 outings for Spurs Under-18s last season, according to the club’s official website.
Such is his proficiency, fans of the North Londoners are naturally excited about the 18-year-old’s potential, and some aren’t pleased about Pochettino leaving him behind.
Marcus Edwards was also omitted and it seems plausible that Pochettino wants to protect Griffiths from the inevitable hype which would come his way if he dazzled on the tour.
Edwards, 19, had impressed on Tottenham’s pre-season trip last summer, prompting excitement from fans and unrealistic expectations of his promise.
That did him no favours at all and, with his Spurs career potentially over before it ever really started, maybe Pochettino is boxing smarter with Griffiths than he did with Edwards.
