Some Everton fans have criticised Sandro Ramirez on Twitter.
Everton fans on Twitter have criticised Sandro for his latest performance.
The Toffees drew 0-0 with Lille in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, but the Spanish attacker arguably fluffed the best chance of the game in the first half.
Sandro, who earns £120,000 per week at Goodison Park [Silly Season], didn’t score in any of his eight Premier League games last season, before being shipped on loan to Sevilla in January.
For the most part, the former Barcelona prospect has looked lively during Everton’s pre-season campaign, but he didn’t endear himself to new manager Marco Silva on Saturday.
And here’s how fans of the Merseyside club reacted to his performance:
You could pass Sandro the ball with him stood on the goal line and he’d still miss— Kyle Dunn (@KDunn_EFC) July 21, 2018
Sorry but as I said in last post championship player at most— mick mckeown (@mickmckeown80) July 21, 2018
I’d love nothing more than for it to work for Klassen and Sandro at us but I just can’t see it. Sandro puts in the graft but can’t finish his tea and Klassen has the class but just goes missing in every game #EFC— Everton Vin ⭕ (@TheoOffside) July 21, 2018
Lool, couldn’t score past irdning was shocking against bury tries hard but not good enough— Mike (@EfcMikee) July 21, 2018
Sandro is so poor— David Jones (@DJ1878EFC) July 21, 2018
Would appreciate it if Sandro could stay on his feet. Never seen an EFC player spend so much time on the deck— Jay Brittles (@JamesBrittles) July 21, 2018
Realistically, it looks very unlikely that Sandro has a future at Everton.
The writing was on the wall for him from January onwards, but it’s worth noting that it was Ronald Koeman whom he failed to make an impact under.
Considering the Dutchman’s sacking last season, it could be argued that the team as a whole under-performed during Koeman’s reign and maybe, just maybe, Silva could draw some much-improved performances from Sandro.
