Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland are both said to be battling it out for Jack Baldwin, with Jos Luhukay rating him particularly highly.

Wednesday are in competition with Sunderland for Baldwin, although neither have agreed a fee with Posh yet.
Wednesday and Sunderland have both failed to meet Peterborough’s asking price for the transfer listed defender.
And MacAnthony said: “We had Sunderland come in and want to pay next to nothing for him, obviously we turned that down. Sheffield Wednesday called us, he was high on their manager’s list, but we turned that down as well. There’s no immediate rush to get Jack out the door.”
Baldwin struggled for form at Posh last term, but has the potential to play at a higher level than League One.

The former Hartlepool man is very comfortable in possession, and could enhance the quality of both Sunderland and Wednesday’s defences.
Wednesday will be hoping to challenge for promotion from the Championship next term, while Sunderland are among the favourites to go up from League One.
Sunderland have been extremely active in the transfer window so far, but Wednesday have failed to do much business.
