Tottenham Hotspur are said to be wanting to trade Moussa Sissoko with Crystal Palace for their star winger.
If Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy manages to pull off a deal to bring Wilfried Zaha to the club, while getting rid of Moussa Sissoko, as the Daily Mirror suggest he is planning, then all should be forgiven over the north London club’s slow summer so far.
Levy has faced criticism for Tottenham’s failure to get deals over the line during the transfer window to date.
Mauricio Pochettino went into the summer suggesting how he wanted Spurs’ business to be done early, but they have failed to even make one signing so far.
However, if Tottenham were able to bring in Zaha and offload Sissoko at the same time then surely all would be forgiven.
Zaha reportedly wants to leave Crystal Palace, with Tottenham among the interested parties.
And if they could save some money on buying the winger by offloading Sissoko, then it would be a great move.
Sissoko just does not look up to standard at Tottenham, and if they could get a of a reserve player to bring in a genuine star, it would be a wonderful piece of business.
It seems highly unlikely that Palace will agree to any deal, but Levy is a master negotiator and if he is able to bring Zaha to the club, it will rank as one of his best signings yet.
