According to L'Equipe, Everton's talks for Bordeaux winger Malcom are progressing quickly, and a deal between the two clubs may be sealed by the end of the week.
Everton do need new signings though, and a winger appears to be a top target, no matter whether Ademola Lookman stays with the club or moves on this summer.
Reports late on Tuesday suggested that Everton are pursuing Bordeaux's Malcom, and L'Equipe now report that talks are progressing quickly between the two clubs.
It's even added that a deal could be done by the end of the week, or early next week at the latest, with Everton seemingly pushing to bring the Brazilian star to Goodison Park.
Bordeaux want a fee of around €40million (£35million) for Malcom, and whilst Everton have yet to put a formal cash offer on the table, negotiations appear to be heading in the right direction.
Malcom, 21, has impressed for Bordeaux since his January 2016 move from Corinthians in his native Brazil, and particularly excelled last season with 12 goals and seven assists in 35 games.
A pacey wide man with a superb left foot, Malcom would be a hugely exciting addition – and they must hope they can close the deal quickly before any rival clubs make their own moves.
