The Swansea City midfielder could be on the move again, with Burnley said keen.
Burnley aim to push through a £12 million deal for Swansea City’s Sam Clucas ahead of their upcoming Europa League campaign, according to the Sun on Sunday (July 15, page 59).
Burnley face Aberdeen in qualifying next week and manager Sean Dyche is said to want to add a wide man to his squad, favouring one with Premier League experience.
And Clucas fits that bill, having spent the past two seasons with Swansea and Hull City in England’s top flight.
Each of those campaigns have ended in relegation, however, and the 27-year-old could face another summer of upheaval with Swansea said to be looking to sell their big earners.
According to Transfermarkt, the Swans paid around £15 million to sign Clucas a year ago, leaving the Welsh side in line to make a £3 million loss.
Clucas previously spent a season at Chesterfield, a former club of both Dyche and Nicky Law, the Burnley head of recruitment (pictured, above).
