According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have agreed a £13.75million deal with Stoke City for winger Xherdan Shaqiri, and he will undergo a medical today.
The Reds have already added Naby Keita, Fabinho and Isaac Christie-Davies this summer, but manager Jurgen Klopp has been keen to add another winger this summer.
Proven cover is needed for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, and Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks.
Now, the Daily Mail report that a £13.75million deal has been agreed between the two clubs, and Shaqiri will undergo a medical with Liverpool today ahead of completing his move.
It's claimed that Lazio also wanted to sign Shaqiri, but the winger was keen to work with Jurgen Klopp, so the ex-Inter Milan flop will be moving to Merseyside over a return to Italy.
Shaqiri, 26, hit eight goals and seven assists in a superb personal campaign for Stoke, but having seen the Potters suffer relegation, he was always unlikely to stick around and be one of the stars of the Championship.
A talented left-footed winger who loves to cut in from from the right flank, Shaqiri was a real creative force last season and can pack a punch shooting from range, though he has struggled with huge clubs such as Bayern Munich and Inter in the past.
With questions about his suitability for Klopp's pressing style, Shaqiri would arrive with some doubts, but at less than £14million, he still looks to be a bargain for the Reds.
