Crystal Palace youngster Nya Kirby was handed a chance to impress by Roy Hodgson yesterday and he took it.
Crystal Palace fans have praised Nya Kirby’s performance in their pre-season friendly against FC Helsingor.
Palace drew 2-2 against the Danish side, with Kirby being handed a first-team chance by Roy Hodgson.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Eagles set-up.
And Palace fans certainly did not think that Kirby was overawed while playing in the first-team yesterday.
Kirby also looks a lot more defensively mature than I was expecting, he doesn't dive in but more often forces the attacker to play sideways, repositions himself well. Very impressed, can't wait to see him vs better opposition. #cpfc— Cabaye Loves Hugs (@CabayeLovesHugs) July 12, 2018

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of the lad this season!
Whether Kirby will be given regular chances at Palace this term remains to be seen.
The youngster has impressed at development squad level, but is yet to be given a consistent run of games by Hodgson at Selhurst Park.
Palace scored their goals against Helsingor through Alexander Sorloth and Mamadou Sakho.
Palace begin their Premier League campaign with a match against Fulham in early August.
