Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is reportedly on West Bromwich Albion’s radar this summer.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports emerging from Swedish outlet Expressen earlier this week that suggested that Leeds defender Pontus Jansson is a target for the Baggies this summer.

West Brom have so far brought in one signing with Sam Johnstone arriving on a permanent deal from Manchester United. But it appears that Darren Moore is looking to rectify that situation imminently.

BBC Sport has recently suggested that talks are ongoing regarding a deal for Swansea City ace Kyle Bartley, and it appears that his old Leeds teammate may perhaps also be on Moore’s wishlist.

According to Expressen, West Brom have been in contact with the Whites over Jansson’s availability this summer. Jansson has been a stalwart for the Elland Road outfit over the last two years and was part of the Sweden squad that reached the quarter-final of the World Cup in Russia.

It would be a huge surprise if Leeds were willing to sell the centre-back. Marcelo Bielsa is already lacking options in that area of the field, and Jansson has the potential to be a real star of the side next season despite his slightly more underwhelming form last term.

But some of the West Brom fans are seriously hoping that they can bring the 27-year-old in as they feel that reuniting him with Bartley at the heart of their defence next season could put them in a fantastic position as they look to try and secure promotion at the first attempt.

Here is what some of the West Brom fans make of the links with the Leeds star…
