Southampton's Matt Targett intends to review his future next month after being denied a permanent move to Fulham, according to the Daily Mirror (liveblog entry 13:14).
The newspaper reports Southampton have told Fulham that Targett is not for sale after the London side offered £10 million for the player who helped them win promotion while on loan there during the second half of last season.
But the Daily Mirror adds Targett is no longer willing to sit on the bench or in the stands after gaining a taste for regular football at Fulham last term.
The 22-year-old's hopes of doing that at Fulham, however, may have taken a hit after Thursday's arrival of Maxime Le Marchand from Nice.
Targett came through the ranks at Southampton, whose left-back options also include Sam McQueen, and has played 42 times for the south coast club.
