Newcastle United are reportedly keen on re-signing Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.
Turkish club Fenerbahce are also interested in signing the Netherlands international as competition in the Liverpool first team is set to increase following the big money arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.
Wijnaldum was a big success during his one season with Newcastle a few years back, scoring 11 goals and supplying five assists in 40 appearances, with all of his goals coming at St James' Park.
The central midfield has shown he can offer a serious attacking threat, but is also a combative enforcer that can do the defensive work too.
Wijnaldum has impressed in patches during his two years at Anfield so far and the box-to-box midfielder appeared in the Champions League final last season.
The Dutch pass master is going to see his starting spot at Liverpool come under the spotlight moving forward and it looks like Newcastle are trying to bring him back to the club, where he could really thrive in Benitez's side, having only briefly worked with the Spaniard before the Magpies' relegation in 2016.
