Allan Nyom would be a good player to keep around as West Bromwich Albion attempt to plot an escape route from the Championship next season.

Many members of West Bromwich Albion’s first-team squad have been linked with moves away from The Hawthorns since their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed, including Jay Rodriguez, Craig Dawson, Ahmed Hegazi and Salomon Rondon.

Jonny Evans and Ben Foster have already left, joining Leicester and Watford respectively.

One player who has been comparatively absent from transfer speculation, however, is Allan Nyom. Although that could be about to change.

The 30-year-old defender was asked by a fan on Instagram whether he was set to remain a West Brom player beyond this summer and Nyom appeared to be none the wiser, posting a response that will surely ramp up speculation that he too could be on his way.

Nyom, who joined from Watford for £4 million two years’ ago, has been a useful member of the Baggies’ first-team squad ever since.

The Cameroon international has featured both on the right and left hand side of the defence, starting 25 Premier League games last season. And, with Dawson heavily expected to leave, the Mirror claiming that he has handed in a transfer request amid interest from West Ham and Burnley, Nyom’s versatility means he would be a good player to keep around.

But are West Brom thinking about cashing in?
