According to a report from German publication Sport Bild, Arsenal have joined Tottenham in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic, and whichever club wins the race for the Croatian's signature will be in a great position to secure a top four finish in the Premier League table this season.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form for his country at this summer's World Cup in Russia, and he has displayed qualities that will undoubtedly make him a success in the Premier League, if he does in fact move to England.
According to French media outlet Sport 1, Frankfurt will consider selling Rebic for €50 million (£44.2 million), and whilst that seems like a lot of money, in today's market, it could actually be considered as decent value.
The Croatian is obviously a very good player, but who will win the race for his signature?
The Gunners are in need of another winger, having sold Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez over the past 12 months.
Rebic would fit the bill perfectly, and his incredible work-rate will surely appeal to Unai Emery.
He would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad, but whether they can afford his £44 million price-tag is doubtful, considering the fact that they have already spent close to £60 million on four players this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to add another winger to his ranks at White Hart Lane this summer, but whether he would be a regular starter at Spurs is doubtful.
The 24-year-old is full of energy and that would make him the ideal fit for Poch's setup at Tottenham, and if the north Londoners receive big money for Toby Alderweireld, they will be in a great position to bring the Eintracht Frankfurt winger into the club.
The north London rivals will likely be battling it out for a place inside the top four this season, and whoever wins the race for Rebic will fancy their chances of doing just that.
