Confirmed Liverpool line-ups v Tranmere: Keita starts first half, Wilson to play second half

Liverpool take on Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly tonight.

Liverpool first half starting line-up: Ward; Camacho, Phillips, Klavan, Robertson; Fabinho, Keita, Lallana; Kent, Solanke, Ojo.

Liverpool second half starting line-up: Karius; Clyne, Gomez, Chirivella, Moreno; Milner, Woodburn, Jones; Wilson, Origi, Sturridge.

Whilst the country is focusing on England's World Cup semi-final clash with Croatia on Wednesday night - as well as France v Belgium in the other semi-final this evening - Liverpool are in pre-season action tonight.

Jurgen Klopp's men smashed non-league side Chester 7-0 on Saturday to kickstart their pre-season preparations, and they are in action again tonight as they make the short trip to Prenton Park to face local side Tranmere Rovers.

Klopp has named two teams tonight, with Danny Ward starting in goal in the first half, and he will be protected by a back four of Rafa Camacho, Nat Phillips, Ragnar Klavan and Andrew Robertson.

BIg-money signings Fabinho and Naby Keita start in midfield alongside Adam Lallana, whilst Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo will flank Dominic Solanke in a three-man Liverpool attack.

In the second half, Loris Karius will play in goal, with Nathaniel Clyne, Joe Gomez, Pedro Chirivella and Alberto Moreno ahead of him, whilst James Milner will be an experienced head in midfield.

Ben Woodburn and Curtis Jones join him in the engine room, with Harry Wilson and Daniel Sturridge supporting Divock Origi in the final third for the second 45.

With the likes of Dejan Lovren, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino unavailable, young players will have a chance to shine for Liverpool tonight, and Klopp will be hoping for another impressive display.
