The Liverpool midfielder is a reported transfer target for Fenerbahce.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to Turkish media outlet Fotomac, and Reds fans took to Twitter to deliver their verdict on the Dutchman’s potential exit from the club.

Wijnaldum joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £25 million, but the 27-year-old has failed to live up to high expectations at Anfield, scoring just eight goals in 92 appearances in all competitions for Jürgen Klopp’s side.

Klopp has brought Naby Keita and Fabinho to Liverpool this summer, and with the arrivals of the two international stars, the Dutchman will surely struggle for regular game-time this season.

Every Love Island contestant if they were an England player – World Cup!

Much will depend on whether or not Wijnaldum is prepared to play a bit-part role at Anfield.

If he is willing to stay and fight for his place, Liverpool are not in desperate need to sell, so he might just hang around for at least another season.

He might want to play regularly, though, and if Fenerbahce were to offer the Reds a decent fee for his services, they very well might be tempted into doing business.
