Traore left Aston Villa for Middlesbrough two years ago.

A Daily Telegraph report has explained why Middlesbrough’s transfer plans are likely to interest Aston Villa.
Villa’s finances are said to be under fresh scrutiny after the Football League demanded clarification over proof of funding.
And given that the beaten play-off finalists yet to cash in on any of their star names, costs appear to be being cut elsewhere – with director of football Steve Round losing his job on Wednesday morning.
According to the Daily Telegraph, however, Aston Villa’s coffers could yet be boosted through the sale of a player they sold to Middlesbrough two years ago.

The newspaper claims Villa inserted a 20 per cent sell-on into the deal to take Adama Traore to Teesside and stand to receive £3.5 million if a Premier League club triggers the winger’s £18 million buy-out clause.
And the Villans could be in luck, with the Sun reporting that Wolverhampton Wanderers and Huddersfield Town are leading other clubs in the race for Traore’s signature.
The 22-year-old scored five goals and set up 10 in 36 Championship matches for Middlesbrough last season.
