Matthew Bondswell is reportedly set to leave Championship club Nottingham Forest and sign for Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

Back in the summer of 2016, Scottish starlet Burke brought an end to his promising City Ground career by moving to the bright lights of the Bundesliga. But he quickly discovered that the grass is not always greener.
Despite paying a club record £13 million for his services, Leipzig handed Burke just five starts in the Bundesliga. Now, he is stuck on the bench at West Bromwich Albion and, ironically, set to face Forest in the Championship next season.

Nonetheless, 16-year-old Bondswell is still set to follow in Burke’s footsteps. Forest had hoped to tie the England youth left-back down to a new contract but it seems that his immediate future lies away from the East Midlands.
And Forest fans are far from happy.
Some are understandably asking why Bondswell believes he will be better off at Leipzig, where he is expected to begin life with the reserve team; especially with a lack of left-backs in Aitor Karanka’s squad seemingly leaving the door wide open.
Time will tell, however, whether Bondswell can succeed where Burke failed.
