Joselu has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Stoke City for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £5 million.
The 28-year-old striker - who earns £40,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com - made 19 starts and made 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.
Newcastle finished 10th in the Premier League table last season and will be aiming to end up even higher in the standings during the 2018-19 campaign.
