Some Newcastle United fans have stated on social networking site Twitter that they do not want the club to spend £30 million to sign Kenedy on a permanent contract from Chelsea.
The 22-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a left-back, was a huge success during his spell at the Magpies.
The Brazilian youngster made 13 starts in the Premier League for Newcastle, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
According to ChronicleLive, Newcastle are interested in signing Kenedy on a permanent contract from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Some Newcastle fans do not want manager Benitez to spend £30m on Kenedy, as the following posts on Twitter show.
£10 million to much IMO, wouldn’t pay anymore than £20 million for him.— The Insider (@theinsidernufc) July 2, 2018
Let’s just Move on. Thanks for your service kenedy, but we can’t afford you.— Benny Zachary Tan (@TheFairyTaleHs) July 2, 2018
So Chelsea paid roughly 7m for him then loaned him to watford where he made 1 appearance then he came to us and looked a good player and they now want 30m! I wouldn't pay more than 20m he hasn't done enough to command a 30m fee #nufc— Shaun Dinning (@shaundinning) July 2, 2018
I'd maybe go to about 22m at a push but if he has another belta season with us he then becomes a 35-40m player— John Patrickson (@john22061984) July 2, 2018
If the deal involves us taking Loftus Cheek on loan for season, that’d be awesome— TH Sports Massage Therapy (@tonyhenderson73) July 2, 2018
That’s the end of that deal then...— James (@james1508) July 2, 2018
Offer 25mil, that's cos they no we really won't him.— Tony Kirkwood (@My4cherriepies) July 2, 2018
Was nice having him on loan. Won't see him again for that money. NEVER.— paul watson (@grumpyget) July 2, 2018
He's not worth 30 million. So no chance of us buying him or any other club for that matter— PS (@ShopCopy) July 2, 2018
He’s worth half that— Toon In Toon Out (@toonintoonout) July 2, 2018
