Leicester City should consider joining the race to sign the Portuguese ace.
Leicester manager Claude Puel will surely be looking to bolster his ranks at the King Power Stadium this summer, in an effort to guide his side back into contention for the European places this season.
One particular area of concern for the Frenchman will be his central midfield department, with more guile and creativity required in the middle of the park.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with West Ham, and impressed for the Hammers, chalking up two goals and an assist in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Mario can play anywhere across midfield, or further forward in the number 10 role, and he possesses the kind of ability on the ball that could take Leicester to another level.
The 40-capped Portugal international is good with both feet, and has a keen eye for a killer pass. He would provide more balance to the Foxes' midfield, and would be the ideal foil for the likes of Vicente Iborra and Daniel Amartey.
According to Italian media outlet SempreInter, Mario could be available for around €35 million (£31 million) this summer, and in today's market, that would represent decent value for someone of his quality.
And Adrien Silva might just be the Leicester's trump card in the race for the Portuguese star.
