Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been linked with Benjamin Pavard, but it seems that the North London duo may not be able to secure the services of the VfB Stuttgart defender in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Sun in March, Tottenham are interested in signing Pavard from Stuttgart this summer.
According to Foot01.com, Arsenal are interested in securing the services of Pavard, who is playing for France at the ongoing 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Pavard is a very talented and promising young defender, and the France international would be a good signing for Arsenal or Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
“We will definitely not sell Benjamin Pavard this year for €50m. We will do everything to ensure that he plays with us for another year.”
While Stuttgart may be determined to keep hold of Pavard, the fact is that in football money talks. If Tottenham or Arsenal make a huge offer, then then the German club will have to consider.
Moreover, Pavard may himself want to join a major European club such as Arsenal or Tottenham and compete with the best players in the Premier League.
