Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers want to bring Harry Wilson to Ibrox this summer, and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic are also interested in the Liverpool winger, according to talkSPORT.

It has been reported that Liverpool legend Gerrard wants to sign Wilson on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, but Celtic boss Rodgers - a former Liverpool manager - is claimed to be ready to make a move for the winger as well.

Rangers and Celtic are two massive clubs, and while it could be tough for the Wales international to decide, he should pick the Gers over the Hoops.

Celtic are a well-settled side, and it would be hard for Wilson to establish himself in the first team, at least at the start.

After all, former Liverpool manager Rodgers will not want to make too changes in the opening weeks of the season.

Rangers, though, will look quite different under new manager Gerrard from last season, given the number of players the Ibrox club have signed so far this season, including Jon Flanagan following the full-back’s departure from Liverpool at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Wilson is a very good and creative winger, and his explosiveness and quality on the ball will make him a key figure at Rangers rightaway.

Of course, the Wales international - who earns £4,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com - will have to work hard, but he will have as much chance of being in the team as anyone else given that Gerrard is the new manager and will give every player an equal chance of impressing him.
