Liverpool have been linked with a bid for the Croatian.
Liverpool have made a £12 million bid for Everton target Domagoj Vida, according to Turkish media outlet Aspor, but Reds fans let their disappointment be known on Twitter today in response the the rumours that have begun to circulate.
Jürgen Klopp has already been extremely busy during this summer's transfer window, bringing in midfield duo Fabinho and Naby Keita for just shy of £100 million, but the German's business seems to be far from finished.
Liverpool are seemingly on the verge of achieving something very special under Klopp, but many believe that he needs to add another top quality centre-back to partner Virgil van Dijk at the heart of their defence.
Vida has impressed for Croatia at this summer's World Cup in Russia with his own unique brand of no-nonsense defending, but whether he is good enough for Liverpool is debatable.
He has earned 61 international caps for Croatia, so that has to count for something, but Reds fans do not seem convinced.
They delivered their unanimous verdict on Twitter today in response to reports linking their club with a summer swoop for Vida...
If that’s true, he’s only ever gonna be Klavan’s replacement but would start every game for Everton. Levels— Morsy (@ChrisMors1) 2 July 2018
