Celtic fans react to Craig Gordon's display against Bohemians

Several Celtic fans have urged Brendan Rodgers to not use Craig Gordon as the Hoops' number one next season.

Craig Gordon of Celtic warm's up before their Betfred Cup Semi-Final between Hibernian and Celtic at Hampden Park on October 21, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Craig Gordon after the goalkeeper's poor pass led to the only goal of the game during the Hoops' pre-season friendly with Bohemians Prague on Saturday.

After winning their first friendly 1-0 earlier this week, the Bhoys would have been hoping to put in another solid performance with their first Champions League qualifier not too far in the future.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is seen during a training session at Lennoxtown Training Centre on April 27, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

And while Rodgers' men started brightly, it was the opponents who scored the game's only goal in Austria as Dominik Masek's deflected effort left Gordon with no chance of keeping the ball out 10 minutes before the break.

While the stopper could have done little about the strike itself, he did receive a lot of criticism for the pass that led to the goal. The Scotland international chipped a high ball out to Kieran Tierney that the left-back could do little with, and in his attempt to keep it in, he gave the ball away to the opposition.

Scott Bain of Celtic warms up ahead of his debut prior to the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox Stadium on March 11, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The incident prompted a number of Celtic fans to urge Rodgers to focus on giving Scott Bain a run as number one. Bain was superb during his loan spell last season and will be hoping to establish himself as first-choice following his permanent arrival.

And it seems that Bain's chances of getting the nod between the sticks for the competitive games have received a boost with many extremely anxious about the prospect of Gordon keeping the gloves.

Here is some of the reaction to Gordon's mistake in Austria...
