Hayes has failed to feature for Celtic competitively in 2018.

Celtic midfielder Jonny Hayes has underlined his delight to pull on the green and white jersey of Celtic once again after finally overcoming a horrific leg break.
Hayes, 30, returned to action for the Hoops during the Scottish giants’ 1-0 win over Austrian side SK Vorwarts Steyr, as James Forrest scored Celtic’s only goal of the game.

The former Aberdeen ace, who joined Celtic last summer after an excellent 2016-17 campaign under Derek McInnes, played the second half for the Hoops.

Hayes posted on Instagram after returning to action for Celtic, telling fans that he was “thankful” for the club’s medical team that have helped him come out the other side.
Hayes managed to make 20 league and cup appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side before suffering the injury, scoring one goal and laying on two assists for the Scottish champions.
The four-time Ireland international’s game time at Celtic remains a question up for debate, with the Hoops expected to sign a winger this summer while Scott Sinclair and Forrest remain.
