How much is Alisson really worth?
Right after the Champions League final most Liverpool fans would have signed off a cheque for a world record fee to land hihgly touted goalkeeper Alisson.
The Guardian report Roma are demanding 90 million Euros (£79 million) for the goalkeeper's signature, enough to make Liverpool stop and pause.
Despite keeping a clean sheet against Serbia last night, Alisson was not especially convincing.
So much so that several supporters have made their minds up already, viewing the goalkeeper as overpriced and some even questioning whether he is an upgrade on Karius.
He has helped Brazil into the knockout rounds where they will face Mexico, and possibly a quarter-final with England dependent on how the Three Lion's final group game plays out.
Here is a look at the reaction to Alisson's performance...
Alisson has proved to me he is no where near the price Roma value him at. #LFC— Anfield Effect™ (@AnfieldEffect) June 27, 2018
After watching Alisson for some months now I’m not convinced he’ll sort out our goalkeeping problems #lfc— Marvin (@Marvin_pst) June 27, 2018
I've seen Alisson play 5 times this season. Liverpool put 7 past him over two legs. He's been pretty ordinary for Brazil in the games I've seen him in. Flapped at a few crosses tonight. Small sample size I know but I'm not convinced he's worth spunking £70 million on #LFC— Neil Cafferky (@neilcaff) June 27, 2018
Surely it’s not whether Alisson is worth the fee. It’s whether he is better than Karius? #lfc— mainstand red (@mainstandred) June 27, 2018
