It's probably fair to say that Rangers' transfer business since returning to the Scottish Premiership in 2016 has been, well, a bit mixed.
There's been some good signings, but also plenty of terrible ones, though signing Aaron Mooy might have been the greatest deal of all.
According to ESPN, the Premier League champions could trigger their £20 million buy-back clause of the Australia international, who wound up joining Huddersfield Town - then in the Championship - on loan when Warburton was said to be in the running, before making his move permanent last summer.
For £20 million, Mooy represents an absolute bargain for the Citizens, considering the modern transfer market and the fact that he's in the prime of his career.
Signing a player of that calibre could and would have been a game-changer for the Ibrox outfit and surely he represents one that got away for the Premiership side.
