West Ham fans were impressed with Juan Quintero as he starred for Colombia.

West Ham lost star midfielder Manuel Lanzini to injury on the eve of the World Cup.

If Hammers scouts were using the tournament to find a replacement, then they need look no further than Colombia’s Juan Quintero.

Quintero has been a burgeoning star since shining at the under-20 World Cup in 2011.

His club career has seen mixed success, currently he is at Porto and spent last season out on loan at River Plate.

His performances at Russia 2018 have been excellent so far, scoring a clever free-kick in Colombia’s opening defeat to Japan.

Last night against Poland he was terrific, inspiring Colombia to a one sided 3-0 victory by providing the assist for Yerry Mina’s opener.

His full range of passing was on show, and West Ham supporters on Twitter have been comparing him to Lanzini and urging the club to sign him as a replacement.

Here is a look at how Hammers fans reacted to his display…
