Newcastle have made just one summer signing so far in Martin Dubravka.

The Evening Chronicle have claimed that Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is looking to raid former side Chelsea for a “few” of their players, with three already being linked with a move to St. James’ Park.

Striker Tammy Abraham has long been on Benitez’s shortlist after he missed out on the England youth international last summer to Swansea City, while The Toon remain keen on a permanent deal for Kenedy.

England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s future at Stamford Bridge remains a huge doubt, too, after his loan spell with Crystal Palace finished. Newcastle have been touted as a contender for his signature.

However, the report claims that Chelsea are looking to sign multiple Chelsea players this summer, other than the three aforementioned names with the west Londoners boasting a huge reserve squad.

Indeed, the Blues allowed 21 players to leave on loan last summer, including Kenedy to Newcastle for the second half of the 2017-18 campaign. It remains to be seen which players will join the Toon this summer, if any from Chelsea.

Benitez will only be able to lure new players to St. James’ Park this summer, though, if he finally manages to convince owner Mike Ashley to help him in the transfer window with a much-needed cash injection.
