Jansson was an unused substitute as Sweden lost 2-1 to Germany.
An injury time winner from a Toni Kroos free-kick gave Germany the win, and minutes later there were angry scenes on the bench.
Leeds defender Pontus Jansson started Sweden's first game in place of Manchester United's Victor Lindelof, who was out with illness.
Jansson is Leeds' only player at the 2018 World Cup.
Germany had gone 1-0 down before coming back to win 2-1.
They had lost their opening game to Mexico, while Sweden began with a win over South Korea.
