French newspaper L'Equipe have claimed that Ligue 1 side Toulouse have made an offer of £1.75million for Bournemouth winger Max Gradel - and Leeds fans have gone into meltdown on Twitter.
The 30-year-old spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Toulouse, after falling down the pecking order under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth after the Cherries lured him back to English football from St.Etienne.
The fleet-footed star shone last season, scoring 11 goals - eight of which came in Ligue 1 - during his 35 league and cup appearances for Les Violets. Now, Toulouse want the 60-time Ivory Coast international permanently.
It has now been seven years since Elland Road fans were graced with Gradel's quality at Elland Road before he was sold to St. Etienne. He scored 25 goals from out wide for the Whites during his 82 outings.
Backed with owner Andrea Radrizzani's cash and hugely experienced and well-renowned manager Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, Leeds are in the market for some big signings ahead of a 2018-19 promotion push.
Hearing news about the bid for Gradel from Toulouse, Leeds fans clamoured for their side to table an offer of their own and bring the former Leicester City star back to Elland Road for the first time since leaving in 2011.
One fan urged Radrizzani to bid £3.5million for Gradel, urging the Italian to "double" Toulouse's offer.
