Celtic playmaker Rogic could not help Australia earn all three points against Denmark.
Celtic playmaker Tom Rogic failed to provide the difference during Australia's 1-1 draw against Denmark on Thursday afternoon in Group C of the World Cup - but Hoops fans were still delighted with his display.
The 25-year-old started the game, as the Socceroos were tasked with beating Age Hareide's side following their 2-1 loss to France. However, their chances of qualification now look slim.
Denmark took the lead through an excellent effort from Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen, but Australia pulled back level after a controversial VAR decision handed the Aussies a penalty.
Aston Villa man Mile Jedinak equalised, scoring his second penalty in two matches with a calm finish past Denmark stopper Kasper Schmeichel.
Rogic was heavily involved in Australia's push for a winner in the second half, and tested Leicester City man Schmeichel but could not find the elusive goal.
Celtic fans watched on as Rogic impressed without finding the end product, and lauded their playmaker for his efforts during the 1-1 draw. One fan posted: "
Aye big Rogic is defo wasted at Celtic, who wants to retire with loads of medals anyway,it should be all about the money— SPARKY (@marko_cfc) June 21, 2018

Rogic one of the stand outs in the Socceroos. Full of creativity...Just lacks an engine.— Vinny Bhoy (@vinnylad) June 21, 2018
