Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has told Kicker that Ludwig Augustinsson is going nowhere this summer, following reports of a potential move to Fulham.

The 24-year-old, who is currently representing Sweden at the World Cup, has been touted as a potential signing for the Cottagers, who are also desperately trying to keep hold of Ryan Sessengon ahead of the their first season back in the Premier League.

Baumann is claiming Augustinsson won't be going anywhere and this has to make a for welcome news for Fulham supporters.

Slavisa Jokanovic will no doubt have plans to field Sessegnon further forward, since he proved his attacking prowess so well last season, but with Matt Targett also unlikely to make a permanent move to Craven Cottage, there may now be even more emphasis on keeping Sessegnon to cover at left-back.

The 18-year-old has an eye for goal but is just as impressive operating from deep, and so if the Augustinsson move fails it might just encourage Fulham to stand just that bit firmer over their prized asset.

Sessegnon is one of the hottest young talents across Europe, and is seldom out of the transfer headlines - so far he has been linked with a blockbuster move to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
