Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Cameron John is a target for a number of clubs, including Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City and Sunderland, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The left-sided centre-back, who can also play at left-back, is highly-regarded at Wolves after impressing since his arrival from Southend United three years ago.
John caught the eye for Wolves’ Under-23s side last season, featuring in 13 Premier League 2 matches for Wolves.
The 18-year-old, who has yet to make his first-team debut for Wolves, is enterting the final year of his contract at Molineux and as yet no new deal has been agreed.
The news has alerted John’s suitors who are ready to try and prise the teenage defender away from the Premier League new boys.
Brighton, Norwich and Sunderland have been keeping tabs on John’s progress for some time and they are ready to offer him a quicker pathway to first-team football.
Wolves are reluctant to lose the talented defender, but they are bracing themselves for offers for John during this summer’s transfer window.
