Leeds have a decision to make amid Tyler Denton exit reports

Leeds fans celebrate their team's victory during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on November 29, 2014 in Leeds, England.

Championship Leeds United could reportedly lose Tyler Denton with the Elland Road talent interesting Massimo Cellino's Serie B outfit Brescia.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Serie B side Brescia are hoping to sign Tyler Denton on loan for the 2018/19 season while closing in on a deal to rescue Marcus Antonsson from his Elland Road nightmare.

A loan move does not mean that Denton would end up returning to West Yorkshire, however. it is understood by the Yorkshire Evening Post that Cellino wants an option to buy the 22-year-old at the end of his prospective spell in Italy.

On paper, Denton wouldn’t be a big miss considering that he did not play a single minute of football for Leeds last season, instead spending the campaign on loan at Port Vale. And the Dewsbury-born defender, who has only ever made three appearances for Leeds, did not exactly stand out in League Two either.

But is it simply the wrong time to get Denton off the books? Leeds might have secured the signature of Tom Pearce with a new contract but reports in the Sun suggested that he could be used as a makeweight in a deal to bring Matej Vydra to Elland Road from Derby.

And the Belgian Laurens de Bock also faces an uncertain future after a dreadful first few months at Elland Road. So the lack of depth at left-back, coupled with two potential departures, means Leeds would surely be better off not making a decision about Denton’s future right now.

Letting him go could leave Leeds worryingly light once again in their typical problem position.
