He was bang average! Longest pass he made was 5 yards ... He did not run with the ball once. Did not see him make one tackle and he must of covered all of 100 yards the whole game. Reminded me of a poor Yaya Toure - and I mean Yaya Toure at the age of 35.— Jason Perry (@Jay____Pee) June 15, 2018
Looked slow— John Pichowicz (@jonfat14) June 15, 2018
What? He was awful— Dan Ellis (@xDellisOfficial) June 15, 2018
Yes wasn't his best Intl game. Like Carvalho but don't think he has the pace & Mobility we need. That's why what I've heard a lot PL clubs have pulled out. Shkiri (23) w Tunisia one to watch. Very good CDM for Montpellier— Joshua (@SchroerJr) June 16, 2018
Didn’t think he was anything special. Take him for free yes but not 40m ffs— Ricky Mackie (@RickMack2906) June 15, 2018
I thought he was solid tonight— Rob2018 (@Westham2018) June 15, 2018
He looked sluggish n awkward. I specifically watched him. Plays similar to alex song when with us.. couple of decent passes nowt special today. But to be fair spain were outstanding on the ball— paul douglas (@pdougie77) June 15, 2018
He will get slaughtered on premier league must of watched different games— Danny (@dannychurch1) June 15, 2018
Thought he looked excellent, calm, composed, protected backline. Done the job against one of the best teams in the world.— David Warrington (@dwarrington76) June 16, 2018
He was lacklustre. Need a midfielder there who moves forward with the ball as well as spreading play rather than move forward without it and spread play every time he gets it— DAK (@domking98) June 15, 2018
Compared to Kante he’s Bang Average!— James at Large (@isafitzzz) June 15, 2018
William Carvalho would be unreal for us— Jay (@ReggyWallaceWHU) June 15, 2018
On yesterdays performance, I don't see the hype around William Carvalho. Looks like a character for an 80s American police sitcom, moves like Yaya Toure, likes playing piggy in the middle, and passes 20 yards tops. Not worth it in my opinion. #COYI— West Ham Untied (@West_Ham_Untied) June 16, 2018
Carvalho is surely a must this summer. If Pellegrini is going to play 4-4-2 he is perfect as the holding midfielder— West Ham COYI (@TheHammers_) June 15, 2018

I’d rather have whoever Brands and Silva want in the middle to be honest ...— Beav (@beav1967) June 16, 2018
For all those keyboard warriors out there who were slagging carvalho off and say he's not good enough let this sink in he was in direct competition against andres iniesta and David Silva just take time to think about that before making sweeping decisions #EFC— Gareth Davies (@Tweety_McTweety) June 15, 2018
He looked like a poor version of Darron Gibson last night, but if Silva and Brands want him I trust there judgment— dale (@dale_efc) June 16, 2018
Carvalho's mobility looked worrying last night, but must say for a big fella his ability on the ball was decent and seems to have a good range of passing. Is he any better than what we've got though? #EFC— OnceABlueAlwaysABlue (@AlwaysABlue85) June 16, 2018
Honestly that Carvalho fella makes Bakayoko look like Essien.— Paul EFC 86 (@PaulEFC86) June 15, 2018
On a side note, William Carvalho is the most pointless footballer I've ever seen. Rather keep Schneiderlin.— Paul EFC 86 (@PaulEFC86) June 15, 2018
Also that William Carvalho, although sometimes he looked lost on the pitch, he is a big lump with good feet, awareness in play and good attacking intent. With tactical guidance from Marco Silva (if we get him) he can be quality for us! #EFC— Andrei Kanchelskis (@AAKanchelskis) June 15, 2018
