Ex-Crystal Palace defender Coleman moved to China last week.
Benteke is said to be an option for Coleman as the new Hebei China Fortune boss seeks to strengthen his attack.
And it is claimed Palace are open to offers for the Belgian, who cost a club-record £27 million from Liverpool two years ago, but struggled in his second season at Selhurst Park.
However, the report fails to mention that Hebei have already filled their quota of four foreign players and would have to offload one of Javier Mascherano, Hernanes, Gervinho or Ezequiel Lavezzi to accommodate Benteke.
Coleman, who spent four years on Crystal Palace's books, made the move east last week after leaving Sunderland at the end of the English season.
Benteke has scored 69 goals in 185 Premier League appearances, although his recent form cost him a place in Belgium's World Cup squad.
Should Palace look to offload Benteke this summer?
