Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen on signing the AC Milan hitman, but Leicester City should join the party.

Claude Puel has a lot of work to do at Leicester this summer, if he is to guide his side to a sustained push for the Europa League places next season.

One particular area where the Foxes need to improve is their centre-forward department, with more competition required for the likes of Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki.

With this in mind, Leicester should consider making a summer swoop for AC Milan hitman Andre Silva, who has been attracting attention from Wolves, according to the Sun.

The British tabloid claims that the Portugal international could be available for around £33.6 million this summer, and he would be the ideal addition to the Foxes’ squad.

The 22-year-old joined Milan from Porto in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £33.6 million, according to Sky Sports, but he failed to establish himself at the San Siro, scoring just two goals in 24 Serie A outings.

Milan are reportedly looking to sell Silva, but want to recoup the money that they paid for him 12 months ago, according to the Sun.

He still has a lot to offer at the very highest level, though, and a move to the King Power Stadium could be just what he needs to reinvigorate his career.

The Portugal international wasn’t given a real chance to showcase his talents with Milan last term, with just seven of his 24 league appearances being starts.

Given the opportunity of more regular action with Leicester, he could finally fulfil his potential, and form a devastating partnership with Jamie Vardy.

And if Puel manages to bring him to the King Power, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Foxes.
