The Austrian defender took a long time to get going at the King Power Stadium but quickly became a real favourite among Foxes fans once he was belatedly given an opportunity by Claude Puel. It is understood that Leicester have the option to make his loan move from Bayer Leverkusen permanent for £15 million but have delayed in doing so – meaning other clubs have been awoken from their slumber.
The Leicester Mercury reports that Everton and West Ham are both keen to hijack the deal for Dragovic, who was once one of the most coveted centre-halves in European football when making a name for himself at Basel and Dynamo Kiev.
Everton must sign a centre-back this summer after a dreadful season in which they shipped goals at an alarming rate, particularly with The Mirror reporting that Ashley Williams and Ramiro Funes-Mori are up for sale.
West Ham, however, had the worst defensive record in the Premier League in 2017/18 so you can see why they would be keen on strengthening their backline with Dragovic’s arrival.
Though if Everton or West Ham do strike a deal with Leverkusen, this clearly won’t go down well in Leicester.
I think the issue is not the fee, but whether Dragovic see's his future at Leicester, Puel hardly played him. When he did play we looked better defensively and from what I saw, he looks a good solid defender. I would love him to sign for us.— Mark Goodacre (@MarkgLcfc) June 13, 2018
I think just about every Leicester fan wants him, problem is he definitely isn't gonna want to come here after how little he played. Puel's had a stinker I'm afraid.— Ron Jambo (@FuckBenWebster) June 13, 2018
Staggered we haven't already. It an absolute shambles if we miss out on him.— WestwoodTableSoccer (@Westwood_TS) June 13, 2018
£15m would be a steal but he'd be crazy to sign for us. He's experienced how under appreciated he is here and could be a star player in many similar sized teams.— Tom Wileman (@WilemanTom) June 13, 2018

Why aren't we signing him?— Neil Foster (@neilfog69) June 13, 2018
