HITC Sport understands Rangers have made Brighton defender Goldson their fifth signing of the summer.

Rangers have sealed the signing of Brighton defender Connor Goldson on a four-year deal, HITC Sport understands.
Rangers agreed a fee in the region of £3million with Brighton for Goldson last week and the player flew into Glasgow for talks and a medical on Monday.
Talks have progressed smoothly and the powerful defender has become new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard’s fifth signing since taking charge at Ibrox.

Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor have joined on free transfers, while Jamie Murphy made his loan move from Brighton permanent and Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has arrived on loan.
Goldson found himself playing a back-up role at Brighton last season with Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy the preferred centre-back partnership at the Amex Stadium.

The 25-year-old joined Brighton from Shrewsbury in 2015 and was a regular in their line-ups in the Championship, but his career was put on hold when he required heart surgery in February 2017.
Goldson, who made eight appearances last season, has opted to leave Brighton this summer in search of regular first-team football.
