Caleb Ekuban has struggled at Leeds since moving to Elland Road last summer.

Leeds United striker Caleb Ekuban’s future at Elland Road could be in doubt with the Whites reportedly interested in signing two new strikers – and Whites fans have discussed his future on Twitter.

The Whites are continuing talks with free agent Abel Hernandez, after the Uruguay international’s contract at Hull City expired following a frustrating season that has seen him sidelined for much of the 17-18 campaign through injury.

He could now be joined at Elland Road with Derby County striker Matej Vydra, as the Yorkshire Evening Post claim Leeds are in talks with Hernandez and plotting a move for Czech Republic international Vydra.

With the duo potentially moving to Yorkshire, Ekuban’s position in the Leeds side becomes somewhat threatened, as he would plummet to third-choice striker.

It is little more than Ekuban deserves, after scoring just two goals in his 21 league and cup appearances last season – only one of which came in the league.

Despite having a contract until the summer of 2021 at Elland Road, Leeds fans discussed Ekuban’s future with many posting some hilarious new job roles for Italian-born striker.

One fan believes he could become the club’s “head chef”, while another suggested “physio” to look after Hernandez and Vydra, who are both renowned for their injury woes.
