Joao Mario spent last season on loan at West Ham United, and showed his quality in the Premier League.
But Spurs fans do not seem to believe that the Portuguese international has the quality required to replace Dembele.
Why would we want a player that didnt even stand out at that tin pot club. Nothing special at all— Josh (@JoshuaDean3) June 7, 2018

Tottenham could look to move Dembele on this summer, in what has been a shock decision from Mauricio Pochettino.
Dembele was a vital figure in Spurs’ midfield last term, but he is reaching the twilight of his career.
The Belgian already has plenty of interest in him, with Tottenham hopeful of raising sizeable funds which they can re-invest in their squad.
Pochettino is seemingly keen to strengthen in central midfield this summer, with new arrivals due before Spurs move into their new ground.
Dembele and Mario are both set to play at the World Cup, which could enhance their reputations further.
